Puglia, the heel of Italy, is a fascinating region, which is well suited to be visited by bicycle. The cycling holiday in Puglia is the best way to visit the most beautiful places, riding in the villages of Salento, in town centers, through the wonders of the Baroque, lost in the Apulian countryside, stopping to watch the olive and fig trees, and ride along the beautiful coast of Puglia, bathed by the Adriatic Sea, from Gargano to Salento, from Vieste to Peschici, Trani, Bari, Polignano a Mare, Monopoli, to the coast of Salento Brindisi, Torre Guaceto, the coast of Ostuni, Otranto and Santa Maria di Leuca, and the Ionian Sea, from Taranto to the Head of Leuca, via Porto Cesareo, Campomarino, Maruggio, and Gallipoli.

The bike path proposed by APULIA BIKE TOUR, Cycling in Puglia, in this board is a group trip, with a companion by road bike or racing bike: Apulia and Basilicata from SALENTO to ITRIA VALLEY  to MATERA by racing bike in 8 days and 7 nights.

The cycle route starts from San Vito dei Normanni and finish in Fasano, from Lecce, reaching the towns of Salento, Otranto and Gallipoli, then back up to Manduria and reach the valley Itria, and Alberobello, the city of TRULLI, and Matera.

The first day, yo will arrive individually at the airport of Salento Brindisi, where you will meet our guide who will transfer you to your hotel. You get to ride the next day, after a brief visit to the beautiful square and the castle of Frederick II of SAN VITO DEI NORMANNI, continue to Lecce, about 60 kilometers, where you will have the opportunity to catch up with your racing bike in the center of town, and admire the beautiful Piazza Duomo, the Cathedral of Lecce, the beautiful Basilica of Santa Croce, passing Greek amphitheater and the Roman Theatre.
The third day in the saddle to your bike, ride in South direction, and after a stop in the center of ACAYA to visit the castle; with ADRIATIC SEA on your left, you will come to Otranto, where you can get with the road bike since the narrow streets of the old town and ride up to the CATHEDRAL and CASTLE ARAGONESE. 
Continue in the afternoon to Gallipoli, total distance about 80 km of the day. 
On the fourth day, riding your bikes ROAD, ride towards MANDURIA, home of the famous wine PRIMITIVO of MANDURIA, where it can not 'miss a guided tour of a winery, then continue to CEGLIE MESSAPICA. On the fifth day you ride in the beautiful Itria Valley, where a nice tour cycling will takes you to Ostuni, the white city, Martina Franca, Cisternino one of MORE BEAUTIFUL  ITALIAN VILLAGES   up to Alberobello, the city of the trulli, HERITAGE of HUMANITY.
The sixth day is reached along a beautiful path cycling of about 70 kilometers, up to Matera, the city of SASSI. The seventh day of BIKE CYCLING you will pedaling towards GIOIA DEL COLLE homeland of LATTICINI and MOZZARELLA, to climb the hills of Puglia from Castellana Grotte until SELVA DI FASANO and get off in the direction FASANO.
